Unclogging intervention

A blocked pipe can lead to problems with the drainage of your sewer system. The prior passage of a camera to carry out a visual inspection is compulsory, it will identify the nature of the residues present and find the cause of the blockage in the pipe.


If the visual inspection reveals the presence of hard residues, wood, concrete or roots, the classic unblocking is not sufficient in this case, a milling technique must be used. The diagnostic stage is a crucial step in this method.

  • In which cases is milling used ?

    Roots or concrete may be present and impinge on the quality of the pipe system. In this case, the pipe is milled to remove any residue in the pipe. To do this, we use an ENZ hydraulic milling machine connected to our hydro-cleaning truck.


    When the milling machine is introduced into the network, it is supplied with water at a pressure of 200 bar in order to remove all residues and allow a trenchless maintenance operation.


    Milling is useful for :


    • Remove obstacles.
    • Carry out the preparatory work for the lining and allow access to the liner.
    • Restore service connections after rehabilitation.

  • Operation

    The ENZ impact milling drill is particularly suitable for milling work in the hardest concrete, limestone or sediment deposits.


    The percussion head removes any obstruction at a rate of between 600 and 3000 blows per minute with a striking force of up to 12 tonnes on its hard metal teeth.

    For cleaning and descaling, we use the ENZ chain head, also coupled with our hydro-cleaning vehicles.


    High-pressure water flushing is one of the most effective methods of pipe cleaning.


    This removes obstructions to normal flow such as resistant deposit edges, staggered sleeve roots, breaks in the pipe, cracks in deteriorated sleeves, protruding steel supports or parts, as well as the opening of already installed ducts.
